A Multi-Talented Free Spirit

Uncle Helen (a.k.a. H.B.), has been writing, playing and charming audiences throughout her life, and most recently in a variety of bands, duos and solo projects across the Twin Cities and has been featured on KFAI. As the lead vocalist and guitarist for rock and rockabilly bands Missing Peace and Full Circle, H.B. effortlessly mixes genres of rock, pop, soul, and blues from the 1950s to today, creating an eclectic set of sounds and moods.

“Uncle Helen”, her solo project, was born from years of forgotten music lessons, a catalog of quirky and catchy cover tunes and originals, and a persistent desire to create and perform. Think indie country folk rock punk funk – FUN.

On occasion, she also plays as, “Uncle Helen & Friends”, joined by an array of talented bandmates and local musicians for a mix of instrumentation, entertaining set lists, and the occasional funny story.

Uncle Helen is available for solo, duo and band bookings and has experience with many local venues including Bunkers, The Driftwood Char Bar, Sidhe Brewery, Goddess of Glass, the Hexagon, and the FOE #34 Eagles Club, to name a few.
